Dr. R. Lee Meyers, III, MD, FACG

Dr. Meyers received a B. A. from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania. He completed medical school at University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland.

His internship and residency were completed at University of North Carolina Medical School in Chapel Hill North Carolina. Dr. Meyers completed a Fellowship in Liver Disease and a Fellowship in Digestive Diseases at University of North Carolina Medical School. His final year of Fellowship was spent in extensive training in therapeutic biliary endoscopy. He also functioned as an attending physician on consultation service and in the Endoscopy Unit. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Gastroenterology.

Dr. Meyer’s joined Gastroenterology Consultants of Southwest Virginia in August, 1995 and he resides in Roanoke with his family.
